Remove the pollen stamens from the lilies as each bud opens — the pollen stains permanently and is not water-soluble. Cut all stems at a sharp angle and place in cold water. Change the water every two days. Baby's breath is very resilient and will outlast both the roses and lilies. Keep away from pets; lilies are toxic to cats. Expect the roses to peak at five to seven days; the lilies will open fully by day three and last several days beyond that.

Drooping heads? Re-cut stems and place in deep, cool water for 2 hours to revive.
Cloudy water? Sign of bacteria. Change immediately and clean vase with diluted bleach.
Petals browning? Remove affected flowers and ensure vase isn't in direct heat or sunlight.
